Berkshire Winter Series
After living in western Massachusetts' Berkshire Hills for a number of years, I went to work one winter doing drawings of a number of the scenes produced by volumes of snow. When the land is cloaked by the snowfall, things one might normally not notice, like fence posts and corn stubble, become key components in truly remarkable landscapes. My study and recording of these scenes became this series of five prints, all of which recall, for me, the stark peace of midwinter days.
