This accordion book has five hand-painted panels which illustrate a quote that is excerpted from the poem “Renascence” by Edna St. Vincent Millay. The quote reads, “All I could see from where I stood was three long mountains and a wood; I turned and looked another way, and saw three islands in a bay.” The structure is closed with a slider adorned with a pine tree. The completed book measures 3.25” h x 2.50”w x .50” d. There are 100 books in the edition.

Just Desserts
The irresistible word play of the title was what inspired this book. “Researching” to find suitable models and sharing the process with friends made its development a venture that was just plain fun. The finished book includes hand-colored prints of eleven delectable treats, a short commentary, and two quotes. The book measures 2 3/4”h x 3”w and exists in an edition of 100 copies.

The Coastal Maine Botanical Garden is situated nor far from my home and provides a plethora of material for drawing. This star book features five scenes from the garden, most of them easily recognizable if one has paid this wondrous place a visit. The images are printed and then hand-colored.
